Building Capacity

We are sad (and proud) to announce Olivia Adkins’s, Digital Communications Manager, last day with Ohio Women's Alliance on January 7th, 2022, as she moves on to an incredible opportunity to flip a Senate seat for a pro-abortion candidate in Wisconsin.  

"Being a part of building Ohio Women's Alliance has been one of the great honors of my life. The past two and a half years have been a gift. I have witnessed two incredible leaders co-creating a vision that has transformed and grown along with them. I have learned so much in a short time about communications, strong organizing, sharing resonance, building power, co-creation, and ultimately, relationships. And I am deeply grateful for their early investment in my journey.

It's no secret that Ohio can be a challenging state to organize in. The landscape is tough, and the losses are many. But we define our wins, and the people here make up our beautiful state and drive our democracy forward. I feel lucky to have known so many of them, and I know you're in great hands. 

I believe I am not totally finished in this fight for Ohio, but I am heading west for now. I will be working to flip a Senate seat for a pro-abortion candidate to hopefully codify Roe at a national level, directly impacting people right here in Ohio, where my heart will always live. As the work continues, I take every lesson I have learned as I pursue my political and personal journey.
