Women we Support

As we look back over Ohio Women's Alliance Action Fund's work in 2020, we never imagined that in our FIRST YEAR of voter outreach we would be reaching 2 million womxn across Ohio. When our voter outreach began this summer, we focused on uplifting voting by mail and helping voters request their ballots. But with supporters like you believing in us, we were able to expand our program to speak directly to voters about candidates we love. Ohio voters are SO EXCITED to vote for these women. We learned so much from our first cycle of "candidate IDs" and we know it will inform an even more robust program next year, which will include our first-ever endorsements! Thank you so much for your support--now get our there and vote for these amazing women leaders!

Mission

Ohio Women’s Alliance Action Fund is dedicated to disrupting toxic, systemic cultural norms that leave the most critical voices out of conversations, campaigns, and strategies when they are required for us to transform a fairer and thriving community for all.  

Vision

Our goal is to build a racially equitable and diverse movement by prioritizing issues that impact the needs of women and femmes of color.

Purpose:

To build capacity for women and femmes, particularly Black women, through the electoral process to determine the lives they want for themselves, their family and their community. And create a higher sustainable movement through voter protection and education, civic engagement, and the endorsement of female candidates that align with OWA AF values.
