Our first endorsement…

Ohio Women’s Alliance Action Fund is proud to announce our first-ever candidate endorsement for Nina Turner and her run in U.S. Congressional District 11. Nina is a fierce advocate for Black women and for collective liberation. She has lived these values throughout her time as a Cleveland City Councilwoman, Ohio Senator, professor, and a dedicated, compassionate member of her community. As Nina says, “When Black women are lifted, other women are lifted by extension.”

Nina will be on the ballot on August 3rd, which is a special primary election for U.S. Congressional District 11. Congresswoman Marcia Fudge vacated the seat after being appointed to the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development by President Biden. The primary will take place August 3rd, followed by the general election November 2nd alongside other important races.

Ohio Women’s Alliance Action Fund has chosen this moment of turbulence and revolution to draw our line in the sand because we believe in Black women, now and forever. Are you in? Give to Ohio Women’s Alliance Action Fund to contribute to this valuable work. Ohio deserves better. We deserve Nina Turner.
